Business Objects Specialist

Our client an international financial institution is looking to hire an Business Object Specialist for their Swiss EIM - Enterprise Information Management infrastructure team.

EIM is part of their "Global Technology Application Support" within "Infrastructure Service Delivery" of Group Technology.

The majority of their supported services are used globally. Therefore the support model of EIM has team in all regions as well as an offshore team for Level 1 and Level 2 Support cases.

The EIM team is supporting:

• Business Intelligence: SAP Business Objects, Informatica, IBM Congnos, SAS
• Collaboration Services: MS SharePoint, MS IIS/DotNET , LiveLink, EMC Documentum

The Position:

The Business Object Specialist will be responsible for the Level 3 Support of all the assigned products where the main focus will be

Business Objects.

• Working in the EIM Infra team Embedded in a follow the Sun support model
• Liaise very close with the Global Application Support offshore team as well as with Engineering function
• Day to day administration, monitoring and production support of Business Objects infrastructure.
• Install, configure, test, troubleshoot and provide maintenance for Business Objects XI.
• Involved in deployment, migration and upgrade projects.
• Troubleshooting problems for assigned application environments
• The role contains night- and weekend work as well as on-call duty

The Requirements:

The adequate candidate is an IT professional with 2-5 years on-hands infrastructure experience in supporting Business Objects. Experiences in other products in scope of EIM are huge advantages.

We are looking for a very flexible person who is able and willing to on-board new technologies as well. While the supported services are globally used the candidate should be a good communicator and experienced in working in a global Matrix organization.
