The DataMan ID readers are embedded barcode readers with integrated optics, lighting, discrete I/O and networking. The systems communicate via Ethernet, RS-232, FTP, and various industrial protocols. The existing system tests are implemented in C# and deployed using Cygwin shell scripts. Results are made available through a database and Web interface. Tasks performed in this job include:<br><br>- Writing black box tests in C# to exercise all aspects of the embedded systems.<br><br>- Writing tests in C# to exercise Windows applications.<br><br>- Helping the first level support with answering customer requests<br><br>- Assisting with manual testing where not yet covered by automatic testing.<br><br>- Maintain, analyze and communicate results of test robots<br><br>- Perform other related duties as required.<br><br>This position may require occasional travel to Budapest or to the USA.<br><br>Required qualifications and experience:<br><br>Engineering degree in computer science or electrical engineering or equivalent. 1-to-5 years of experience in the following areas:<br><br>- Experience writing software for automated black-box testing<br><br>- Experience with professional team software programming projects (development processes, source code control, formal bug tracking, etc.)<br><br>Additional experience that would be helpful:<br><br>- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio<br><br>- Experience in Unix shell scripts<br><br>- Experience with XML, XSLT, and PHP<br><br>- Experience in hardware design of test fixtures<br><br>- Experience working with regulatory test houses<br><br>- Experience with ladder logic for Siemens STEP 7 or Rockwell RSLogix<br><br>Languages:<br><br>- Professional use of English is mandatory (both spoken and written).
