Für ein Kundenprojekt sucht ELAN schnellstmöglichst qualifizierte Unterstützung im Bereich Unix Administration für ein Projekt im Raum Frankfurt.

Beschreibung:

• Responsible for a variety of UNIX platforms predominantly from Sun running Solaris, some Intel HP running Linux and a few appliances
• Ownership of trouble tickets and user requests
• Direct liaison with other development and support teams locally and globally
• Audit reporting. Providing technical expertise during audits
• Globally driven infrastructure deployment such as DNS, other naming and mail services
• Tight control of the environment including conformance with standard controls checks and procedures in accordance with the company standards

Skills:

• Thorough understanding of Solaris and Linux operating systems and associated tools
• Moderate Perl and shell-scripting skills
• Some X11
• Standard office automation products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Experience of supporting servers in an EMC storage environment desirable
• Some experience with Veritas HA Foundation Suite - Volume Manager, File system, and Cluster Server
• Veritas product suite
• Experience of middleware products such as Connect-Direct, MQ-Series, Websphere, Iplanet, Weblogic advantageous
• TCP/IP and networking experience
• Have supported two or more of the following: NIS+, LDAP, DNS, SUN Jumpstart/JET, Tarantella, UNIX printing, Firewalls/Security hardening, Sendmail, Samba, Webservers
• Fluent written and spoken English
