The Position / Stellenbeschreibung:

• Administrating Oracle 8i, 9i, 10g databases
  
• Troubleshooting
  
• Recoverability - Creating and testing Backups
  
• Integrity - Verifying or helping to verify data integrity
  
• Security - Defining and/or implementing access controls to the data
  
• Availability - Ensuring maximum uptime
  
• Performance - Ensuring maximum performance given budgetary constraints
  
• Development and testing support - Helping programmers and engineers to efficiently utilize the database.

The Requirements / Ihre Qualifikationen:

• You should possess a fair understanding of the telecommunications market
  
• A good understanding of databases (Oracle, Sybase and DB2).
  
• You should also be familiar with database administrator responsibilities, database design and PL/SQL development, scripting (unix shell scripting, awk, perl) and operating systems (unix releases, Windows).
  
• You have at least four years of adequate experience in the telecommunication or IT market as well as experience in working within international project teams.
  
• Working in fast pace and demanding environment is no problem for you and it is easy to integrate yourself as a team player in a multinational and multicultural environment.
  
• You possess excellent communication and negotiating skills and you are able to describe technical procedures in a clear and understandable way.
  
• You are willing to travel internationally
  
• Your English and German both in spoken and written are very good.
