My client, a large consultancy company, requires a senior Oracle DBA to work on a contract (12 months) responsibilities: - provide operational support for the development and test environments - work on DBA projects and initiatives - mentor and coach junior DBA's - contribute to the architectural and hardware refresh initiative The ideal candidate will have - minimum 7 years solid DBA experience in an operational role (Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g database) - knowledge of Oracle application server 9i and 10g an advantage - Unix experience desired - excellent communication, interpersonal and problem- solving skills; fluent command of English; customer skills; ability to work under pressure
