Description:

Our client is looking for an Oracle DB Administrator for a project in Frankfurt.

Task Description
-monitor the storage performance, investigate H/W and S/W problems and performance
-install and configure application software, tune of operating systems parameters to optimize performance
-administration of Oracle databases, tuning of database configuration parameters, monitoring and growth
-analysis, planning and performance of H/W and S/W upgrades or reconfigurations, compatibility issues between subsystems
-support to S/W development and maintenance
-implement and maintain scripts and/or procedures where applicable for the automated and/or controlled execution of the above activities, generation or update of technical documentation

Skills
-Oracle DB administration under UNIX operating systems, MS Windows environments and cluster environments
-Oracle PL/SQL
-Sun/Solaris 10
-Highly available environments under SUN cluster or equivalent
-SAN topologies, managing Brocade (or equivalent) switches, EMC Clariion serving many different types of storage client platforms
-SAN management software concepts and practical experience
-Data Protection solutions under Symantec Veritas NetBackup or equivalent
-Hierarchical Storage Mgt. (HSM) systems (SAM-FS)
-Disaster Recovery Strategies
-Scripting under UNIX
-German+English
