The product range has been continuously expanded and a worldwide network of logictics and customer service centers has been built.<br><br>For the Development Centre in South Africa we are currently searching for a strong<br><br><br><br>Software Development Manager (m(f)<br><br><br>Place of Employment Cape Town<br><br>Your Key Responsibilities:<br><br>- Defining, implementing and maintaining a coherant and progressive development strategy for the client's product line<br><br>- Translation of functional and technical requirements into detailed project plans and schedules<br><br>- Evolution of the software engineering practise within the organization, including better reporting, tools and evolution of development methodology<br><br>- Maintaining current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technology<br><br>- Management of departmental resources, staffing and maintaining a best-of-class engineering team<br><br>Your Profile:<br><br>- Bachelor's or Master's Degreee in Computer Science or equivalent<br><br>- 5-10 years experience in software development, 2-5 years as Development Manager<br><br>- Experience with Ruby, Perl, Java or C/C++<br><br>- Experience with Java, Linux/Unix, XML, Web services and UNIX tools<br><br>- Project management success on similar projects, emphasis on high-volume web-based applications<br><br>- Strong leadership and presentation skills<br><br>- Strong customer focus and results-oriented person<br><br>- Excellent wirtten and oral communication skills in English<br><br>We are seeking for a motivated, dynamic and customer focused personality with strong leadership skills, who is looking for a challenge in a multicultural environment.
