Experience Summary:
Over 7 years of IT experience with 5 years in the field of SAP BASIS administration.
• Experienced in multiple SAP installation, upgrade and support projects based in various OS and DB environments. Specializing on SAP Solution Manager and new dimension products (SAP JAVA Portals, TREX, BI, PI, Solution Manager, MDM)
• Involved in various SAP projects in all steps of life cycle (preparation, planning, TCO, execution, Go-Live, validation).

SAP Basis delivery lead at Modis International.
Delivering services for customers Adidias, Cadbury, Nokia-Siemens, Airbus etc.
Main projects:
1. SAP EP load balancing (Customer Adidas). Implementing a “round robin” approach in the portal load balancing (federated portal Basis 7.00 SP15 on HP-UX)
Part taken in the project: creating of additional JAVA nodes. New JAVA AS build.
2. Complex system copy (Customer Adidas). Requested refresh was complicated, because production system was higher version of Oracle compared to the test system (target). Also the filesystem oraInventory on target system was missing. The attach command for recreating the inventory failed and in order to upgrade the only way (except reinstallation) was clone of existing ORACLE_HOME.
Part taken in the project: not really a project. It was a mess change.
3. SMD installation for all systems (customer Cadbury). From diagnostic agent 7.10 the SMD is a complete SAP instance (with kernel etc.) and it’s a prerequisite for a E2E diagnostics and RCA.
Part taken in the project: installation of the SMD and integration to SLD of the Solution manager.
Key problems: SLD was not correctly set up.
4. BI housekeeping jobs (Customer Adidas). Due to performance problems in multi terabyte BI the task was to set up BI housekeeping jobd.
Part taken in the project: proposal based on the SAP white papers.
5. System copy (refresh) procedure automation (customer Nokia/Siemens)
Part taken in the project: project is ongoing in the moment. The goal is to automate via scripts as many of the task possible (like export of JAVA stack, RFC, EDI, STMS …. And import of license, RFC ….. etc)
August 2009 – June 2010
IBM CZ Republic - SAP Service Delivery Manager for Saint-Gobain Colbert
Main projects:
1. Build of a CRM landscape (customer Saint-Gobain). CRM 7.0 (ABAP+JAVA and TREX) on Windows 2003, MCOD database Oracle 10.2.0.4
Part taken in the project: Kick-off, sizing, installation, stress tests and Go-Live of all 3 systems of the landscape.
Key problems: defining the software logistics strategy. The most intense development was done in the CRM web page via java deployments.
2. “Month-end” performance sizing (customer Saint-Gobain). SAP (R3 4.6C) was having a significant load during the month closure especially when closure is in office hours. He load was generated by the nearly 1500 specific “month-end” batches.
Part taken in project: deep investigation of the jobs. The proposed solution was adding an additional AS with only DIA WP and the heaviest jobs to be run in parallel. Part of the project was also installation of AS (4.6C on AIX).
Key problems: The time spent to “persuade” the functional consultants that only SAP basis batches should be started with high priority. Challenge was to find the value for the parameter defining the max number of WP taken by the parallel batch.
3. Solution Manager build (customer Saint-Gobain). Solution manager 7.0 on AIX, database Oracle 10.2.0.4. The idea of that SM was to be used as a TREX instance to avoid licensing.

4. DR tests (customer Saint-Gobain).
Part taken in the project: preparation (creating DR documentation for each scenario), team gathering, SAP basis part of the DR.
Key problems: Mostly in scenarios of windows and no standby database we had to restore the whole server on another box. Usual windows problems…..
5. Build of MCS cluster (customer Saint-Gobain). MCS (ECC 6.0) cluster MS-SQL server 2005 on Windows 2003.
Part taken in the project: SAP basis tasks of the project.

Delivering services for customers Thomson Technicolor, Antalis, Sodexo, Saint-Gobain Colbert etc.
Main projects:
1. Solution Manager SAP upgrade (from 7.0 to 7.0 EHP1 level 20) customer Thomson.
Part taken in the project: preparation and the actual upgrade. Recreation of the EWA.
Key problems: Reinstallation of the Introscope Manager. Re-plug was needed for all JAVA based systems.
