Supporting the iSeries systems running the ERP application (ASW) for four Rexel subsidiaries in three countries.

Performing security audits of IBM subsidiaries in Austria and Belgium.

Support of AS/400 (later iSeries) systems of outsourcing customers of IBM Austria. Priorities system backup and restore, network connectivity, system security. Responsible to get the systems running fast after a disaster. Installation and upgrades of operating system and applications, including SAP R/3. To ensure system security (installation of fixes, security audits, examination of security logs).

Administration of the central business database of IBM Austria and of the Business Data Warehouse database. Administration and end-user support for DB2, QMF, IMS/ESA, and CICS.

The systems were used for the internal communication and for the personal computing of IBM Austria and its staff. Supporting the system kernel and the low-level system components like programming languages (PL/I, APL, S/370 assembler) and databases (SQL/DS). As security administrator responsible for the system security and the maintenance of the RACF definitions.

Supporting the IBM internal mainframe systems running the operating systems OS/VS1 and later MVS/ESA. Part of the implementation of the IBM SNA networks in Austria using the protocol ACF/VTAM and ACF/NCP. Monitoring the network using the tool NCCF/NPDA.
